The ropeway project group

Under the name “Ropeway Project Group”, a group of cable car experts from Austria and South Tyrol has joined forces to form a network, offering cable car customers a one-stop solution for the planning, implementation, review and operation of cable car projects, including snowmaking equipment.

As an inspection body for cable cars and as the appointed authority in accordance with regulation (EU) 2016/424, WPK Austria performs the task of safety-related customer care within the network, from the creation of reports to approval and regular inspection of complete systems and special inspections of the components.

The other partners in the group are:
• ROPES GmbH, as a cable car planning office with manufacturing experience;
• Dorfmann engineers, as a planning office for the areas of structural engineering, civil engineering, infrastructure and energy projects;
• Intales GmbH, as a specialist in strength analyses and component calculations;
• Vita GmbH, as a planning and consulting company for master planning, snowmaking systems and infrastructure planning; and
• C.D.C. Chain Drive Crane GmbH, as an installation company with extensive experience in the area of cable car installation and servicing.
